Spanish Driver Caught with 200 Kilos of Drugs at Tangier Port Bound for Spain

Just over 200 kilos of drugs were found in the car of a Spanish national at the port of Tangier City. The latter was about to take the boat to Tarifa.
The individual was arrested as he was trying to leave Morocco on board a ferry to Tarifa, southern Spain, reports Le360. To avoid drawing the attention of customs and law enforcement, the defendant had tried to hide the drugs near the driver’s seat, close to the exterior bodywork of the car. In vain, the drug cargo was discovered by the customs officers.
Following his arrest, the Spanish national is currently the subject of a judicial investigation supervised by the competent prosecutor’s office. The investigations aim to elucidate all the circumstances surrounding this case.
