Moroccan Expat Arrested at Spanish Border with 56 kg of Cannabis

A Moroccan residing abroad was arrested on Saturday by customs officers at the Bab Sebta border crossing. He is accused of drug trafficking.
The customs officers, assisted by the police, intercepted a car registered in Spain hiding no less than 56 kg of cannabis resin in the form of tablets. These were hidden in a space between the tank and the rear seats.
The driver, a Moroccan residing abroad, "was about to leave the national territory," according to a customs source. He was handed over to the judicial police who are continuing the investigation.
