Spanish Customs Seize 5.5 Tons of Moroccan Hashish in Almeria Waters

As part of the "Landa" operation, the Spanish customs seized more than 5 tons of Moroccan hashish on a sailboat navigating in the waters of Almeria, in southern Spain.
About 5,500 kg of hashish, divided into some 183 bales seized. This is the harvest of the "Landa" operation carried out by the Spanish customs. The two crew members of the Dutch-flagged sailboat were arrested, according to a statement from the Spanish Ministry of Finance.
The location of a semi-rigid inflatable boat loaded with bales, heading towards a sailboat, prompted the "Landa" operation. The conduct of this operation proved fruitful: the boat was intercepted.
The suspects, as well as the seized drugs and the sailboat, were transferred to the Port of Almeria, the same source said.
For now, the detainees have been made available to the competent judicial authority.
