Spanish-Portuguese Border Operation Nets 3.5 Tons of Hashish in Maritime Bust

An anti-drug operation initiated by the Maritime Service of the province of Huelva, in southern Spain, resulted in the seizure of more than 3 tons of hashish on Saturday, July 27, 2019.
The ingenuity of these hashish traffickers did not pay off this time. Divided into 116 bales and hidden in three boats sailing 10 nautical miles south of the Spanish border with Portugal, the hashish haul weighed 3,500 tons in total.
To get their hands on these outlaws, and due to the state of the sea, a ship from the Portuguese Republican National Guard, a helicopter from the Spanish Civil Guard, and a patrol from the provincial maritime service had to be mobilized. At the end of this operation, the three boats were confiscated and the five traffickers were taken into custody.
Here is the video of their intervention and the arrest of the drug traffickers.
