Some 2.5 tons of drugs were seized on Friday by the police and customs services of the city of Almeria, in southern Spain. The drug shipment came from Morocco.
According to information provided by the police, 75 bales of hashish were seized on a beach in Almeria during the night from Thursday to Friday by police officers as about twenty people were preparing to load the goods into vehicles. They all managed to flee.
The Zodiac loaded with drugs, which had left Morocco, was being discreetly followed until it arrived on land, not far from the N-340a national road, near the town of Aguadulce in Roquetas de Mar, where police officers had already taken position.
