Spanish Authorities Bust International Drug Ring: 2 Tons of Moroccan Hashish Seized

The Civil Guard has dismantled, in the province of Malaga, two drug trafficking networks, one Dutch and the other French, who were trying to transport Moroccan hashish and marijuana to Europe. In total, six individuals were arrested and two tons of Moroccan hashish were seized.
The Civil Guard, in collaboration with the Dutch police, identified in a hotel in Benalmádena, two alleged members of a Dutch network specialized in drug trafficking from Spain to the Netherlands. After a few days of surveillance, they intercepted a trailer truck at the exit of a warehouse located in the El Viso industrial area in Malaga, which two individuals frequented regularly. They found 5 bags containing 175 kilograms of Moroccan hashish. The truck driver and the two Dutch citizens were arrested for drug trafficking.
In a second operation, the Civil Guard, after days of surveillance of a warehouse, still in El Viso in Malaga, identified three people with a history of drug trafficking in France, who were preparing to transport Moroccan hashish hidden in canned goods in a truck. In total, 140 bags of hashish weighing 1,890 kilograms and 140 kilograms of marijuana were seized. The agents also found many undeclared electronic and communication devices.
The two operations allowed the agents to seize 2,065 kilograms of hashish, 140 kilograms of marijuana, two trucks, three vans, two cars, as well as computer and communication equipment.
