Drone Carrying Moroccan Hashish Seized by Spanish Police in Ceuta

The national police intercepted on Monday a drone carrying a kilo of Moroccan hashish. For reasons still unknown, the device would have lost control and ended up on the roof of one of the ships in the Tarajal polygon.
The members of the Tarajal polygon surveillance service found the drone with the small package of drugs during their patrols. They immediately informed the police prefecture, which rushed to the scene to seize the device and the drugs. An investigation has been opened to determine the origin of this drug trafficking.
Since the closure of the border, this method of transporting drugs by drones from Morocco to Ceuta is increasingly used by drug trafficking networks. In early February, four people were arrested and several drones carrying drugs were seized during a joint operation by the Ceuta police and the Civil Guard.
Before this drone, the Civil Guard, during a patrol in the Arcos Quebrados area, intercepted another one that was not carrying any drugs. After a search, no drug packages were found in the surrounding area either.
