European Police Bust Major Hashish Trafficking Ring Spanning Multiple Countries

The Civil Guard and the Special Division for Drug Trafficking and Organized Crime of the Polish Police (CBSP), in an operation coordinated by Eurojust and Europol, have dismantled a criminal organization that was transporting marijuana and Moroccan hashish from Spain to several European countries.
The operation began in September 2019, when the Civil Guard discovered the existence of an organization based in the province of Malaga that was transporting large quantities of marijuana from Andalusia to Poland.
The investigation opened has made it possible to establish the criminal links between this organization and other mafia organizations that have settled in the province of Granada, the main supply point for marijuana. It was also revealed that this organization is made up of major drug traffickers from Poland, Bulgaria, Morocco and Spain.
In addition to Granada, the organization had many plantations in houses, as well as warehouses in the provinces of Malaga, Cadiz and Valencia. It was also found that the organization was transporting marijuana and hashish in trucks with double floors, cars and even buses.
The operation led to the arrest of 110 people and the seizure of 1.5 tons of marijuana plants, more than 20,000 marijuana plants, 91 kilograms of hashish, 43 kilos of cocaine and more than half a million euros in cash, in addition to eight firearms, eight trucks, a bus, 26 vehicles as well as personal and real estate assets valued at five million euros.
