Spain: A Moroccan footballer stabbed to death in Seville

A young footballer with a promising future, Reda Belabber, 21, was brutally murdered on Sunday morning in the Santa Clara neighborhood of Seville. A player for Atlético Libertad, a club in Mairena del Aljarafe, the Moroccan was stabbed with a knife during an altercation, the circumstances of which are still under investigation.
The mourning club paid tribute to its player on its social media, stressing the "deep sorrow" felt by the institution at the disappearance of a young man "full of illusions and goals in life".
Reda, described as a loyal and passionate player. The tragedy took place early Sunday morning on the Avenida de las Villas de Cuba. Despite the intervention of the emergency services, the young man could not be resuscitated and died on the spot.
Two 18-year-olds, residents of the Los Pajaritos neighborhood, were arrested by the police. One of them was apprehended on Sunday, while the other turned himself in on Monday with a lawyer. The investigations aim to determine if the protagonists knew each other and if a previous altercation could have taken place.
According to the first elements, a fight would have broken out in a nightclub before continuing in the street and ending in the tragedy. The two suspects remain in custody pending their appearance before the courts.
