Spain Extends Closure of Ceuta and Melilla Borders with Morocco to April 30

Spain has decided this Tuesday to extend the closure of the borders of Ceuta and Melilla with Morocco until April 30.
The Spanish Ministry of the Interior has published in the Official State Gazette (BOE) the order extending the closure of the borders of Ceuta and Melilla with Morocco until next April 30. Signed by the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, the document specifies that the borders remain closed "subject to possible modifications due to a change in circumstances or new recommendations in the European Union".

The decision includes a new extension of the order INT/657/2020 of July 17, which modifies the criteria for applying the temporary restriction of non-essential travel from third countries to the European Union and the Schengen area, issued to limit the spread of Covid-19.
