Spain’s Easter Travel Boom: Morocco Tops Foreign Destinations as COVID Restrictions Ease

Morocco is among the preferred destinations for Spaniards to spend a good Easter holiday, after the easing of health restrictions related to Covid-19.
Many Spaniards have planned to go to Morocco, Egypt or Tunisia to spend their Easter holidays, says Europa Press, adding that there is also strong demand for the United States, and to a lesser extent, for Latin American and Asian countries.

At the national level, the Canary Islands, Catalonia, Valencia and Andalusia are the preferred destinations for Spaniards for these Easter holidays, according to data from the Corporate Association of Specialized Travel Agencies (ACAVE) which warns that travel bookings will see an increase of 40 to 50% compared to 2021.
