Spain Arrests Suspected Terrorist for Online Radicalization and Propaganda

A man of Moroccan origin was arrested in Tarrasa, near Barcelona, for his alleged involvement in terrorist propaganda, indoctrination and threat activities.
The investigation, launched at the end of 2022, intensified with the support of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (Morocco). It showed that the individual was disseminating radical content on his social networks, inciting terrorist acts, particularly in Europe and Spain. These publications mainly focused on the reconquest of Al-Andalus and glorified attacks, such as the one that occurred in Algeciras on January 25.
Furthermore, he regularly posted hateful messages against the LGBTI and Jewish communities. His posts gained popularity, with nearly 400,000 subscribers and almost 4 million "likes". Recently, he expressed his desire to take action, seeking knives and bulletproof vests.
Following these discoveries, a police operation was launched last Wednesday, during which numerous computer equipment was seized from his home. The individual was detained on the orders of the Spanish justice system.
