French Fugitive Linked to Nîmes Shooting Arrested in Spanish Port

The Spanish National Police arrested a 30-year-old man at the port of Algeciras (Cadiz) who was wanted by the French judicial authorities for his alleged involvement in the shooting that occurred in the city of Nîmes last August.

With the collaboration of the French authorities, the fugitive was arrested on November 11 within the port of Algeciras, as he was trying to hide in a truck to reach southern Spain and then continue to Morocco, the National Police said in a note.

The suspect was the subject of a European arrest and surrender warrant, issued by the judicial authorities of Nîmes for the offenses of homicide and participation in a criminal organization. He is accused of having participated in the shooting that occurred in Nîmes last August, in which a 10-year-old minor was killed.
