German Fugitive Arrested in Morocco for International Drug Trafficking

A foreign national subject to an international arrest warrant issued by the German judicial authorities, for his alleged involvement in an international criminal drug trafficking network, was arrested on Sunday by the police.
The 27-year-old individual was apprehended after arriving on a flight from Istanbul airport in Turkey, it was reported from a security source, specifying that his registration in the Interpol database revealed that he was the subject of a red notice issued at the request of the German judicial authorities for his alleged involvement in the activity of a criminal gang trafficking in cocaine, heroin, cannabis resin and psychotropics between Germany and the Netherlands.
Placed in custody, the man must now await the decision of the justice system regarding his extradition. According to the same source, Germany has been notified of his extradition.
