British Drug Trafficking Suspect Arrested at Moroccan Port on Interpol Warrant

A 39-year-old British national was arrested on Tuesday, February 20 at the port of Tanger Med. Wanted by the Spanish authorities for his alleged involvement in an international drug and psychotropic trafficking network, he was apprehended upon his arrival in Morocco on a ferry from Spain.
The individual was the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by Interpol’s National Central Bureau in Madrid. His identification through the Interpol database revealed a "red notice" against him.
The suspect is suspected of having participated in drug trafficking operations between Spain and Colombia. He was taken into custody and will be brought before the competent prosecutor’s office.
The Interpol office in Rabat informed the one in Madrid of the arrest. The extradition procedure of the suspect to Spain is underway.
