Moroccan Truck Driver Arrested in Fatal Valencia Highway Collision

The Guardia Civil arrested a 40-year-old Moroccan, suspected of being responsible for a rear-end collision between two trucks on the A-7 motorway near Rafelbunyol, in the Valencia region.
The accident, which occurred on the night of October 24 around 1:20 a.m., cost the life of the driver of one of the trucks, aged 58.
During the investigation, the control devices of the two trucks were inspected. It was determined that the AdBlue system of one of them was malfunctioning, forcing the vehicle to drive at low speed and erratically. Despite the alerts issued by the system, the driver did not take the necessary safety measures, continuing on the highway without trying to leave at the first available exit.
The arrested man, of Moroccan nationality and residing in Spain, is now under investigation for alleged involuntary manslaughter. If his guilt is established, he faces up to four years in prison.
