Spain Arrests Moroccan Fugitive Wanted for Fraud and Embezzlement

The Spanish police recently arrested a 38-year-old man of Moroccan nationality. The individual was the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by Morocco for alleged fraud and embezzlement.
The arrest was made possible thanks to a series of checks carried out on the employees of a local company in Miajadas (Extremadura). This company was about to undergo a routine labor inspection, in collaboration with the Provincial Labor Inspectorate. During this procedure, the police discovered that an extradition warrant against one of the employees was in force.
The police were able to discreetly locate and arrest the suspect on November 21, reports the local press. The agents confirmed the existence of an extradition request against this man, issued by the Moroccan authorities for alleged charges of embezzlement and fraud.
Following his arrest, the man was detained on the orders of the National Court. It will now be up to the justice system to decide on his extradition or not.
