International Cybercrime Suspect Arrested at Casablanca Airport on French Warrant

A man wanted by the French authorities was arrested on Friday by the police at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca. The man was the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by France.
The charges against him are serious: involvement in a criminal network specializing in the diversion of computer systems, fraud, fraud and money laundering.
The operation went smoothly from the moment the suspect, coming from Dakar, landed. The arrest was made possible by the rapid verification of his fingerprints, which confirmed his presence on Interpol’s red list at the request of the French authorities. He is suspected of having played a key role in international fraud operations, data bank fraud and the transfer of illegitimate funds to a company he was running in Ivory Coast.
The suspect, placed in custody, is now awaiting the extradition procedure. The French authorities have been immediately informed to prepare the transfer.
