Spanish Police Arrest Moroccan Fugitive Wanted for Forgery and Fraud

The Spanish police have arrested in Segovia a man wanted for two years by the Moroccan judicial authorities for forgery and fraud.
Of Moroccan origin, the man was apprehended after verification and analysis of his file submitted to the Foreigners’ Office in Segovia to apply for a residence permit in Spain, according to El Español.
After querying their databases, the Spanish security services discovered that the defendant is the subject of an international arrest warrant issued since 2022 by the Moroccan authorities.
The man is wanted for the crimes of forgery and electronic fraud. In complicity with other people, he would have made online purchases in Morocco with hacked bank cards.
The Moroccan investigators managed to locate the IP address and phone numbers used by these criminals to commit their crimes. After his arrest, the man was made available to the competent court in Madrid, pending his extradition to Morocco.
