Souss-Massa Council Approves $77 Million for Agadir Bypass Highway Project

New developments for the Agadir bypass highway, whose budget for the first two phases has just been adopted by the Souss-Massa Regional Council.
The elected officials have just adopted a partnership agreement for the realization of this 40 km long northeast bypass highway of Greater Agadir. Thus, the first tranche will be ensured by the Ministry of Equipment for 250 million dirhams, the second tranche of 520 million dirhams will be carried out by the Regional Council (200 MDH), the Ministry of Industry, Investment, Trade and the Digital Economy (130 MDH), the Urban Commune of Agadir (100 MDH) and the General Directorate of Local Authorities (90 MDH).
As for the third tranche, the funds must be released no later than the end of the work on the second tranche, promises the Regional Council, which also announced the release of 24.5 billion dirhams for the 2016-2018 period for 21 projects, particularly in the fields of fishing, agriculture and tourism.
