Nador Region to Create 6,000 Jobs with New Industrial Projects

Some 6,000 jobs should be created in the Nador region, particularly in Beni Ansar, following the signing of several projects on Saturday between project owners and local authorities.
This includes a textile waste recycling unit into reusable fibers for an amount of 90 million dirhams on an area of 20,000 m2. This project, whose work is to be spread over 12 months, plans to create 1,200 direct jobs and 300 indirect jobs.
Two conventions, one of which concerns the creation of an industrial shrimp peeling unit, plan to create some 1,500 jobs, still in the commune of Beni Ansar. The investment for this unit is estimated at 20 million dirhams, of which 5 million dirhams have been released by the Oriental Regional Council. The second convention provides for the development of a logistics platform in Selouane. 3,000 jobs must be created by this project allowing investors to benefit from an affordable price of 260 dirhams per square meter instead of 560 dirhams.
The platform will require a budget of 60 million dirhams, of which 16 million have been injected by the Regional Council.
