Indian Auto Parts Maker Varroc Opens Morocco Factory, Creating 650 Jobs

The north of Morocco continues to attract companies in the automotive sector with the inauguration on Tuesday of the new factory of the Indian group Varroc in Tanger Automotive City.
Established on an area of 17,000 m2, the new unit will be entirely dedicated to the production of headlights and taillights for the brand’s customers in Morocco, Spain and France. It should supply, among others, Renault Tangier, PSA Kenitra, Volkswagen and discussions are currently underway for the Ford brand.
Described as a very modern factory by the group, it includes a 12,000 m2 production unit, 3,000 m2 of offices, 2,000 m2 of engineering and development for the optics, electronics, mechanical design departments and product validation laboratories.
By 2024, the group should employ some 650 employees for an initial investment of 45 million euros. The group is targeting an export turnover of around one billion dirhams.
