The one million tourist mark in Agadir was crossed in November last year, according to figures just published by the Regional Tourism Council (CRT) Souss-Massa.
Thus, over the first 11 months of 2018, there were 1.38 million people who visited the capital of Souss, up 13.47% compared to the same period in 2017.
Domestic tourists take first place with 356,620 arrivals, up nearly 5%, followed by French tourists whose arrivals reached 165,138, compared to 133,058 in 2017. Then come the Germans and the English.
Also according to the CRT figures, 4-star hotels are the tourists’ preference, ahead of vacation clubs and 5-star hotels.
