Sound Energy Begins Construction on Moroccan Gas Facility in Tendrara

Sound Energy PLC announced on Wednesday that work on the first phase of the Tendrara onshore gas treatment and liquefaction facility will begin in the coming days.
The work has been entrusted to the Italian contractor Italfluid Geoenergy SRL, who will carry out the installations for Sound Energy Morocco East Limited (SEMEL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sound Energy, "after an initial payment of $5 million US by SEMEL to the contractor," says a statement from the company.
To finance the project, the British company signed a loan subscription agreement (LNSA) with Afriquia Gaz SA on December 29, 2021.
According to Sound Energy, "the project contract is now fully in force," the company said.
