Sound Energy Advances Phase 1 of Morocco’s Tendrara Gas Project

The British company Sound Energy announced that it has made progress in the context of phase 1 of the development of the Tendrara gas project. This is the result of the work done by the Italian contractor Italfluid, which is carrying out the installations for Sound Energy Morocco East Limited (SEMEL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sound Energy.
Sound Energy planned the completion of the preliminary engineering and site preparation over the next six months, as well as the start of foundation work, the British gas company said in a statement. What about phase 2 of the Tendrara production concession? Graham Lyon, executive chairman of Sound Energy, said that international service providers and Moroccan banks have expressed interest in the project.
"Following the signing of the binding gas sale and purchase agreement with ONEE in November 2021, we have been able to significantly advance financing discussions and I am pleased that not only do we have strong interest from established international service providers, but also from a number of Moroccan banks, which underlines the potential and strategic importance of this nationally significant Moroccan gas development project," he said.
