Sound Energy has announced the start of site preparation work for the construction of its small-scale gas liquefaction plant at the Tendrara field.
These works, which concern phase 1 of the project, will be based on the gas from TE-5 Horst. Ultimately, the company will produce and liquefy around 100 million cubic meters per year, according to a press release, which states that the majority of the production will be delivered to the distributor Afriquia Gaz, over a period of 10 years, at a rate of 475 to 546 cubic meters of LNG per day.
In the second part of the project, a 120 km pipeline will be built to connect the concession to the GME pipeline. The infrastructure will produce a volume of 350 million cubic meters per year, destined for the Moroccan state electricity company, with a Take-or-Pay of 300 million cubic meters per year.
To recall, the financing of this Sound Energy project is fully completed, the company having obtained a loan of $18 million at the end of last year.
