British Firm Sound Energy Reports Promising Gas Discoveries in Morocco’s Tendrara Field

The British gas exploration company Sound Energy is making significant progress in the context of phase 2 of the Tendrara production concession and announces good prospects.
"We are making good progress on the senior debt facility for the Tendrara project, which should finance the majority of the phase 2 development costs. In parallel, we have now initiated a farm-out process to secure partner participation in both the development of the Tendrara production concession and the exploration and appraisal in the surrounding exploration permits," said Graham Lyon, Executive Chairman of Sound Energy.
He added: "Our re-evaluation of the potential of the Greater Tendrara and Anoual exploration permits has identified three high-impact drilling targets, two of which have already encountered gas shows. We believe that mechanical stimulation is the key to unlocking the potential of the TAGI gas reservoir, as we have done with the TE-5 Horst discovery. Importantly, future discoveries in this area have the potential to be commercialized through the infrastructure that will be built for the TE-5 Horst development. We look forward to keeping shareholders informed of progress as we advance."
To recall, Sound Energy has made progress in the context of phase 1 of the Tendrara gas project development. This is thanks to the work done by the Italian contractor Italfluid, which is carrying out the installations for Sound Energy Morocco East Limited (SEMEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Sound Energy.
