Sophia Aram settles her scores with Nagui
Targeted by a joke labeling her as Islamophobic on France Inter, Sophia Aram strikes back. In an open letter addressed to Nagui, the comedian denounces a dangerous accusation and criticizes the host’s complacency in the face of repeated attacks.
The controversy stems from a commentary broadcast on March 12. Comedian Julie Conti had jokingly described her colleague as an "Islamophobe" on the show. Considering this sally particularly serious, Sophia Aram chose to break the silence through an open letter published in the columns of the magazine Le Point, directly addressing producer and host Nagui.

Hurt by this sequence, the columnist sharply reproaches the host for having encouraged this attack through his reactions in the studio. She denounces the "jubilation" that this accusation would have aroused in him and questions the nature of this attitude, oscillating between false naivety and "assumed hatred". Recalling the tragedies linked to the Charlie Hebdo attacks or the murders of Samuel Paty and Dominique Bernard, she points out that this label has already "caused a lot of blood to flow".
Beyond this incident, Sophia Aram describes a real "climate of harassment" within the radio station. She assimilates the show’s team to a "pack" tirelessly repeating unfounded accusations in order to silence her, at the risk of putting her in danger. She thus questions the editorial line and the responsibility of Nagui as a producer in the face of this targeted hostility between colleagues.

The comedian believes that the violence of these attacks, suffered both on air and outside, is directly linked to her recent positions. She claims to be paying the price of her freedom of speech since she has openly mocked "the totalitarian mindset of the far left" and denounced the dogmatic postures adopted by this movement concerning the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
