Son Arrested After Decapitating Father in Lyon, France

In Lyon, the municipal police discovered the body of a 60-year-old Moroccan, decapitated in a parking lot in Saint-Priest (Rhône). The alleged murderer, his son, was arrested on the spot and placed in custody.
According to a source close to the case, it was "around 2 a.m." that the municipal police alerted the national police to the discovery of a decapitated body in a parking lot. "The municipal police reported that a man was walking around with a head in one hand and a knife in the other."
The same source will specify that BAC police officers arrived as reinforcements on the scene, and managed to arrest this 25-year-old Moroccan "who tried to attack them with a knife, without injuring them." The alleged murderer is known "for common law offenses, family disputes on the background of alcohol and drugs."
The Rhône departmental security is currently conducting an investigation to "determine the exact circumstances of this tragedy, as well as its motive and deepen the personality of its perpetrator."
