Socialist Party Leader Boycotts Government Formation Talks in Morocco

Invited, like all other parties, to participate in the consultations for the formation of the new government, the Secretary General of the Unified Socialist Party (PSU) did not show up. Nabila Mounib explains her refusal.
As a general rule, all the heads of political parties make the trip to the headquarters of the party of the newly appointed head of government to congratulate him and participate in the round of political consultations for the formation of the new government. But the SG of the PSU, Nabila Mounib, was not present.
However, the SG of the PSU apologized for her absence, stating that she will be in the opposition, said Aziz Akhannouch in a press statement, stressing that the Party of Justice and Development (PJD), in the person of Saad Dine El Othmani, did the same.
In his statement, the designated head of government stated that "directly after my appointment by King Mohammed VI as head of government, and the honor he entrusted me with to form the new government, there have been several consultations this week, the first round of which ends this Wednesday." Thus, the face of the governmental majority will be unveiled next week.
