SNRT to Acquire Majority Stake in Medi1radio, Reshaping Moroccan Media Landscape

The Competition Council has been informed of a project of economic concentration concerning the acquisition by the National Company of Radio and Television Broadcasting (SNRT) of 86.3% of the shares and voting rights of Radio Méditerranée Internationale, better known as Medi1radio.
According to a press release from the Council, this takeover operation concerns the markets for the broadcasting of radio programs and advertising sales.
In accordance with Article 13 of Law 104-12 on freedom of prices and competition, as well as Article 10 of Decree No. 2-14-652, the Competition Council has made this notification public.
