A smuggler was sentenced to 10 months in prison for assaulting a customs officer in Bab Sebta. This is the verdict handed down by the court of first instance of Tetouan.
Last November, the defendant had punched the customs officer during a routine check, causing a broken nose, reports Barlamane.
The origin of this assault was that the customs agent had opposed the entry of contraband goods. Exasperated, the defendant had punched him.
After being taken into custody and presented to the investigating judge, the aggressor was sentenced to 10 months in prison.
