Moroccan Customs Officer Brutally Attacked at Ceuta Border, Suspect Detained

Victim of a physical assault last Saturday at the Tarajal border, a Moroccan customs officer was forced to take more than a month off work. Arrested by the security forces, his aggressor was placed in pre-trial detention.
According to Tanja24, which reports the information, as he tried to apply the measures to close the crossing and stop the porterage activities, the officer would have prevented the carrier from crossing the border with his car full of goods.
But the situation quickly deteriorated. Shortly after, the carrier would have insulted the victim before violently hitting him in the face, breaking his nose.
The seriousness of the officer’s injury was certified by the medical services, who decided on his inability to work for more than a month, the same media specifies.
As for the smuggler, he was immediately arrested and handed over to the police in the city of Tetouan, who, after conducting their investigation, placed him in pre-trial detention pending his trial.
