A police inspector serving at the wilaya of the national security in Casablanca was sentenced, on Thursday, January 16, 2020, to 10 months in prison for his involvement in the "Hamza mon bb" case. This is the verdict rendered by the court of first instance in Marrakech.
This is the first conviction in the "Hamza mon bb" case. The report from the regional digital forensics laboratory in Marrakech allowed the national judicial police brigade to identify the police officer, reports TelQuel Arabi.
The document indicates that an analysis of the phone of Aïcha Ayach, a friend of the singer Dounia Batma, was carried out. This fashion designer, residing in the United Arab Emirates, has been the subject of an international arrest warrant since January 13. She had exchanged messages with an individual named "Commissaire S" in her directory, the same source indicates.
According to the facts, the police inspector would have met the thirty-year-old after "Sultana", a stylist and owner of a ready-to-wear store in Marrakech, victim of the "Hamza mon bb" account, filed a complaint against her. Although the investigators had him listen to recordings of the conversations between Aïcha Ayach and him, the police officer repeatedly denied having provided information on the case to her in exchange for a reward.
Ultimately, the court of first instance in Marrakech sentenced the police officer to 10 years in prison for his involvement in the "Hamza mon bb" case.
