Severe Winds Disrupt Spain-Morocco Ferry Routes, Prompting Travel Alerts

The gusts experienced in a large part of Spain have led the authorities to suspend maritime links, particularly between Almeria and Morocco.
Disruptions are observed on maritime links to North Africa from Almeria, including ferries to Nador and Melilla, several of which have been suspended or postponed to Friday. Travelers have been asked to postpone their trip and wait for the situation to return to normal.
In parallel, the National Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued an orange alert for winds that could reach 90 km/h in various regions of Almeria, including Valle del Almanzora, Los Vélez, and the capital.
In addition, similar alerts have been issued for coastal phenomena with waves that could reach up to seven meters in certain areas.
