Strait of Gibraltar Ferry Service Resumes After Storm Disruption

Maritime traffic is gradually returning to normal in the Strait of Gibraltar, shaken since Friday by storms and wind gusts. The port of Algeciras has resumed its links with Tanger Med and Ceuta this Sunday, while the port of Tarifa remains closed until further notice.
The links with Ceuta and Tanger Med from Algeciras, operated by the shipping companies Balearia and Trasmediterránea, have resumed this Sunday after the decrease in wind gusts, port sources told EFE, specifying that cancellations continue to be recorded.
However, the port of Tarifa remains closed until further notice, resulting in the continued suspension of the link with Tangier city. According to the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), more than sixty gusts of wind at a speed of 35 kilometers per hour are expected this Sunday in the region.
