Severe Weather Alert: Morocco Braces for High Winds and Heavy Snow

Strong wind gusts and snowfall are expected from Monday, March 14 in several provinces of the Kingdom, warns the Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM).
Wind gusts of 80 to 110 km/h will hit Monday (00:00 to 22:00) the provinces of Jerada, Taourirt, Figuig, Midelt, Boulemane and Azilal, specifies the DGM in a weather alert bulletin at the orange level of vigilance.
Wind gusts ranging from 70 to 85 km/h are also expected on Monday, from 06:00 to 21:00, in the provinces of El Jadida, Sidi Bennour, Safi, Essaouira, Chichaoua, Youssoufia, Rhamna, Al Haouz and Errachidia, it is further specified.
The DGM also announces that snowfall (30-70 cm) will be recorded, from Monday (12:00) to Thursday (23:00), in the provinces of Azilal, Midelt, Ifrane, Khenifra, Al Haouz, Chichaoua, Taroudant (reliefs) and Tinghir.
