Severe Cold Snap Hits Morocco: Temperatures to Plunge Below Freezing in Multiple Provinces

Cold weather will set in in several Moroccan provinces from Friday until next Monday, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM). Minimum temperatures should be well below 0 degrees.
Thus, it is expected to be between -7°C and -3°C and the maximums between 7°C and 19°C, according to an orange alert bulletin issued by the DGM.
In some provinces, such as Midelt, Ifrane, Al Haouz, Boulmane, Sefrou, Azilal, Khenifra, Beni Mellal, Taza, Jerada, Tinghir and Figuig, the minimum temperatures will be between -7°C and -3°C and the maximums between 7°C and 14°C.
Other provinces, such as Chefchaouen, Al Hoceima, Guercif, Oujda-Angad, Taourirt, Driouch, Taounate, El Hajeb, Moulay Yacoub, Fquih Ben Salah, Khouribga, Chichaoua, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Ouarzazate, Zagora, Errachidia, Tata and Taroudant, will also be affected by this cold, with minimum temperatures between -3°C and 2°C and maximums between 14°C and 19°C.
