Morocco Braces for Intense Heat Wave with Temperatures up to 47°C

An "orange" level heat wave will affect several provinces of the Kingdom from Saturday to Tuesday, with temperatures ranging from 37 to 47°C. This is what the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) announced on Friday.
The most affected provinces will be Tata, Zagora, Aousserd, Oued Ed-Dahab and the east of the provinces of Assa-Zag and Es-Semara with temperature peaks oscillating between 45 and 47°C as early as this Saturday.
On Sunday, the heat wave continues with the same temperatures expected in the provinces of Tata, Zagora and the east of the provinces of Assa-Zag and Es-Semara. Other provinces such as Oujda-Angad, Guercif, Boulemane, Taourirt, Taza, Fquih Ben Salah, Beni Mellal and Khenifra will experience temperatures ranging from 40 to 44°C.
The week will begin under the sign of heat for the provinces of Oujda-Angad, Guercif, Fes, Sefrou, Taza, Taounate, Moulay Yacoub, Ouezzane, Sidi Kacem, Taourirt, Fquih Ben Salah, Beni Mellal, Khenifra, Khouribga, Settat, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Rehamna, Marrakech and Taroudant where the thermometer should display between 42 and 46°C from Monday to Tuesday. Meanwhile, the provinces of Azilal, Al Haouz, Khemisset as well as the interior of the provinces of Chefchaouen, Al Hoceima, Nador, Berkane and Driouch will have to face temperatures ranging from 37 to 42°C.
