Serial Villa Burglar Arrested in Bouskoura After Months-Long Investigation

The elements of the Royal Gendarmerie of Nouaceur have succeeded in arresting the "ghost" thief, accused of having burgled 20 villas in Bouskoura and its surroundings. This is the result of a long investigation.
End of maneuvers for the villa burglar. He targeted and burgled upscale villas in the Green City neighborhood between December 2020 and April 2021, reports Assabah. The burglaries took place at night. Many victims filed complaints for burglary. The gendarmes of Nouaceur and Casablanca then began to investigate. After several months of investigation, the "ghost" thief remains untraceable.
The investigation into one of the burgled villas proved fruitful. A gendarmerie officer comes across a high-value smartphone that is part of the stolen items. With the help of the technical brigades, the gendarmes manage to locate the phone at an individual residing in the Ain Chock district of Casablanca. The receiver and his brother will be arrested. They told the investigators that they had bought the smartphone from an individual at the Derb Ghallef market.
The gendarmes learn that the accused was about to sell other smartphones as well as a laptop computer at the Derb Ghallef souk and arrest him. He told them that the owner of an electronics store located in Sbata had entrusted him with the seized objects to resell them. During the search, mobile phones and computers belonging to the victims of the burglary were found in the store.
Questioned, the owner of the store confessed. He admitted to being involved in the villa burglary cases. He revealed the identity of the main suspect. Arrested, the latter admitted the facts and explained that the owner of the store accompanied him by car to burgle the villas. After being brought before the Attorney General of the King near the Court of Appeal of Casablanca, the "ghost" thief and his accomplice are being prosecuted for qualified theft, multiple criminal acts, receiving stolen goods and non-denunciation. For now, they are in pre-trial detention.
