Suspect in Rabat Villa Burglary Spree Arrested, Faces Trial

The police managed to identify the alleged perpetrator of a series of burglaries committed in several prestigious villas in the Riad district of Rabat. He is now facing justice.
It took a large-scale search operation for the alleged author of the burglaries to be identified. He is a 27-year-old homeless man from Meknes, incarcerated in the Azrou prison as part of another criminal case, reports Assabah. He was presented before the Criminal Chamber of the Rabat court.
The suspected burglar took advantage of the absence of his victims who were traveling to break into their homes. He stole diamonds, pearls, precious stones, gold and other valuable items. In total, at least 64 valuable items were stolen from several luxury villas.
Among his victims, an architect, close to a well-known personality. When he entered her home, the alleged burglar stole 42 diamond and precious stone-studded jewelry, computers and sportswear. This victim and others suspected a night guard of being the author of this series of thefts. But the identification of the real burglar has cleared this man of all suspicion.
