Senegal Wins First AFCON Title, King Mohammed VI Congratulates President Sall

King Mohammed VI sent a message of congratulations to the President of Senegal, Macky Sall, following the victory of the Senegalese national football team in the final of the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
Senegal became the first champion of Africa in its history, defeating Egypt in a penalty shootout. Among the personalities who congratulated President Macky Sall for this triumph is King Mohammed VI.
"I am pleased to convey to you, as well as to the entire Senegalese people, My warm congratulations on the beautiful victory won by the Senegalese national team, during the final of the 33rd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations football which was held in Cameroon," writes the Moroccan sovereign.
"I would like to applaud the Lions of Senegal who, thanks to their rigor, their tenacity and their great quality of play, were able to lift the trophy of African Champions and mark with a white stone the history of Senegalese football, unanimously delighting your Nation," writes King Mohammed VI.
