Senegal Edges Morocco 2-1 to Claim U17 Africa Cup of Nations Title

The Senegalese under-17 national team won the precious title of the Africa Cup of Nations in its category, defeating Morocco 2-1, including a penalty, in a very beautiful but unfortunately very empty stadium.
From the first minutes, the young Atlas Lions put pressure on their opponents, trying to quickly find the back of the net and destabilize the Senegalese team. Forced to fall back and play on the counterattack, the latter relied on the speed of its players to reverse the course of the game.
However, it was the Moroccans who managed to open the scoring in the 14th minute thanks to a superb header from Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal. The first goal was very hard on the Senegalese morale, from attackers they quickly became defenders with a very good Moroccan team that regained confidence.
It took until the end of the second half for a penalty to be whistled by the referee after VAR review. Destabilized, the Moroccans conceded another goal a few minutes later and narrowly missed the title.
Congratulations to the Moroccan players for this very beautiful run.
