The Moroccan under-17 national team lost tonight against its Zambian counterpart (1-2) in the U17 Africa Cup of Nations (U17 AFCON) currently being held in Algeria.
The young Moroccans had managed to open the scoring thanks to Zakaria Ouazzen in the 19th minute, but Zambia was able to come back into the game with a goal from Malaya in the 72nd minute, before taking the lead on a penalty converted by Mwanza in the 87th minute.
Despite this defeat, the Moroccan team is already qualified for the quarter-finals of the competition. They will face Algeria on Wednesday, May 10 at 8pm (Moroccan time), in an attempt to secure a place in the semi-finals.
