Morocco to Face Mali in U17 AFCON Semi-Finals After Dominant Wins
The Moroccan under-17 national team will face the Malian team in the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), next Sunday at 8:00 p.m.
Mali, who have qualified for the World Cup in this category, won their quarter-final match against Congo with a score of 3-0. For their part, the young Moroccans also won a resounding victory the day before, beating Algeria.
Thanks to a brace from Zakaria Ouazane in the 28th and 57th minutes, as well as a goal from Adam Chakir in the 86th minute, the Atlas Cubs dominated Algeria on Wednesday, May 10 in Constantine. This victory allowed them to qualify for both the semi-finals of the Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2023 World Cup.
With this result, Morocco has secured a place in the last four of the competition, alongside Senegal. The Lions of Teranga had earlier eliminated South Africa in the competition, winning 5-0.
