The police arrested a Saudi national on Monday in Khouribga. He is accused of violating the measure prohibiting travel between cities in the kingdom during this confinement period.
While he had received a "temporary" authorization from the local authorities of the city of El Hajeb to go, on April 7, to Rabat, to his country’s consulate, the Saudi took the liberty of traveling to other Moroccan cities.
Aboard a rented 4X4 vehicle, he went to Beni Mellal and Khouribga, even though the authorization he held had expired. Moreover, he could no longer reach the administrative capital.
Pending his appearance before the judge, the accused was placed in custody.
