Saudi Giants Al Ittihad and Al Nassr Pursue Moroccan Star Soufiane Rahimi
Moroccan striker Soufiane Rahimi is attracting interest from several Saudi clubs during this summer transfer window. Buoyed by his performances with Al Ain, the Emirati club, Rahimi appears to be a prime target to strengthen the squads of certain Saudi teams.
Al Ittihad, who anticipates the departure of Abderrazak Hamdallah, seems to have identified Rahimi as a potential successor. According to the Saudi press, the club has already made an attractive offer for the player, making him an absolute priority for the summer transfer window.
On the other hand, Al Nassr, who already have Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo in their ranks, could also enter the race for Rahimi. The objective would be to create a formidable attacking duo for the next season, thus offsetting the decline in form of Sadio Mané.
Rahimi’s performances under the Al Ain jersey, particularly in the Asian Champions League, have attracted the attention of the Saudi clubs. His six goals scored against Al Nassr and Al Hilal in the quarter-finals and semi-finals have also prompted Walid Regragui to call him up, and it has paid off. The player scored his first goal last Tuesday in Congo.
