Olympic Spotlight: Moroccan Star Soufiane Rahimi Draws European and Saudi Interest

Moroccan international player Soufiane Rahimi, striker of Al Ain, is the subject of strong interest from many Arab and European clubs. His participation in the Paris Olympics could be a springboard to a European career, a first for him.
A European club has reaffirmed its desire to recruit Rahimi, but the player’s financial value represents an obstacle. A loan solution is being considered, with a final evaluation based on the player’s and therefore the Moroccan team’s performance at the Olympic Games.
In parallel, three clubs from the Saudi championship are also in the running to secure the services of the Moroccan player.
Despite these solicitations, the management of Al Ain do not wish to let their star striker leave, who led the club to victory in the Asian Champions League last season. Rahimi also put in an exceptional performance in this competition, scoring six goals in the quarter-finals and semi-finals.
Several Saudi clubs, including Al Ittihad and Al Nasr, have also expressed interest in Rahimi. Al Ittihad sees him as a potential replacement for Abderrazak Hamdallah, whose departure is being considered.
Despite the many offers, the chairman of the board of directors of Al Ain announced that Rahimi and Togolese striker Laba Kodjo will remain with the club next season. The duo is considered one of the pillars of the team for the upcoming competitions.
Rahimi has made history at Al Ain by becoming the player who has scored the most goals in a single edition of the Asian Champions League, with 13 goals.
