Safety Concerns Mount on Busy Tanger Med Port Highway as Accidents Persist

Road users are calling for the securitization of the highway leading to the port of Tanger Med, where many accident cases continue to be recorded.
"Catastrophic situation" of the road. This is how road users describe what they experience when crossing the highway leading to the port of Tanger Med, which sees a lot of activity throughout the week due to its connection with all the cities in the north and the interior. Bolts are obstructing traffic at one of the entrances leading to the Mediterranean port and have remained in this state for weeks without repair. Trying to avoid these bolts, some drivers - especially large trucks carrying products for export - lose control of their vehicles, which overturn on the side of the road. Accidents that result in huge material losses.
Truck drivers complain about this situation. They may call for the repair of the road, but no action has been taken by Anouar Benazzouz, CEO of the National Motorway Company of Morocco (ADM), to relieve their daily suffering. An inaction that they deplore.
