Russia Excludes Morocco from New ’Unfriendly Nations’ List Amid Sanctions

Russia has not placed Morocco on its list of foreign states and territories that "commit unfriendly actions against" it, "its companies and its citizens". This list was established and approved on Monday.
The United States and Canada, the EU states, the United Kingdom (including Jersey, Anguilla, the British Virgin Islands, Gibraltar), Ukraine, Montenegro, Switzerland, Albania, Andorra, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, San Marino, North Macedonia, as well as Japan, South Korea, Australia, Micronesia, New Zealand, Singapore and Taiwan are on this list, reports the TASS agency. These countries and territories have imposed or joined the economic sanctions against Russia "after the start of a special military operation of the Russian armed forces in Ukraine," it is specified.
These sanctions are: the exclusion of certain Russian banks from the Swift system and the freezing of assets of the Central Bank of Russia; the blocking of funds held by certain Russian oligarchs on their territory and the limitation of their movements; the exclusion of Russian commercial and private flights from their airspace; the ban on trade in certain goods and/or companies, for example in the strategic sectors of armaments and semiconductors, etc.
In response to these sanctions, the Russian government indicates that Russian citizens and companies, the state itself, its regions and municipalities that have foreign exchange obligations towards foreign creditors on the list of unfriendly countries will be able to pay them in rubles. However, these payments must not exceed 10 million rubles per month, or a similar amount in foreign currency.
